Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) had an outstanding day with the bat against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) as they pulled off the second-highest chase in IPL history, making a mockery of the 246-run target set by the PBKS. SRH's batting didn't click in the last few games, with the team suffering four back-to-back defeats, however, the team was on fire in Hyderabad and got the campaign back on track.

Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma were the stars of the win, with Head making 66 in 37 balls, while Abhishek Sharma demolished the PBKS' attack with a brutal 141 in 55 balls.

The game saw a few tense moments when tempers flared between the Aussie players on both sides. During the ninth over of the SRH chase, Travis Head got involved in a heated exchange with Punjab Kings' Glenn Maxwell and Marcus Stoinis.

After the match, Head clarified the exchange wasn't serious, and all is well between the players.

"You bring out the best and the worst in each other when you know them so well, nothing too serious, just a bit of banter," Head said, speaking on the exchange.

Meanwhile, PBKS captain Shreyas Iyer top-scored for his team with 82 run knock. He got viral support from Prabhsimran Singh (42), Priyansh Arya (36), and Marcuss Stoinis (34) to put up a challenging score on the board

SRH captain Pat Cummins was pleased with the win and lauded the batters for the stunning effort.

"Amazing. It suits our style and we know we are gonna get. It's a good wicket and the ball pings around here. Any over under 10 you feel like a big win as a bowler. It's kind of crazy that you feel semi-confident chasing that score. Pretty big fan of his (Abhishek) batting. We didn't want to change the recipe. The batting group played quite a bit last year and we are confident of their abilities. They (the fans) are amazing, always waving the flags and great atmosphere," said Cummins.
