Virat Kohli added another feather to his cap and created history during his match-winning knock for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the 28th match of IPL 2025. The IPL legend remained unbeaten on 62 off 45 balls as RCB chased down the target of 174 with ease. Devdutt Padikkal also played a key role in the win and scored an unbeaten 40 off 28 balls.
RCB have won all their four away matches so far and sit at the third spot in the points table. They have 8 points in their account at an NRR of +0.672.
Virat Kohli creates history
Virat Kohli created history en route to his match-winning knock against RR and became the first Indian batsman to score century of fifties in T20 cricket. The right-handed batsman now has 100 fifties and 9 centuries in T20s.
Out of these, he has 38 half-centuries and 1 one century for India. He has scored the rest of his fifties and centuries in T20s. The right-handed batsman has 13072 runs in 404 T20s he has played so far.
Virat retired from T20I cricket after winning the 2024 World Cup and he now only plays IPL. Once the highest run-scorer in T20Is, Virat scored 4188 runs in 125 matches for India. He also captained the national team in all three formats.
Batsmen with most fifties
David Warner tops the list of batsmen with the most fifties. He has 108 fifties and 8 centuries in the shortest format. Warner went unsold in the IPL 2025 mega-auction and is now playing in the Pakistan Super League.
With 90 fifties, Babar Azam sits at the third spot. The former Pakistan captain has also hit 11 centuries. He was dropped from the T20I squad for the New Zealand tour and isn't part of the team now. Babar departed for a duck in his first game of PSL 2025.
