India are currently taking on England in the 4th T20I of the five-match series at the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) Stadium in Pune. India need to win this match to win the series with match to play, especially after the loss in the 3rd T20I. Hardik Pandya received a lot of flak for his performance in the last game, especially for his sluggish batting. In the Pune T20I, the star all-rounder answered his critics with the bat. He became the first Indian to register a unique feat in T20Is.
Hardik Pandya was the pick of the batters as he scored 53 from 30 balls in an innings studded with 4 fours and 4 sixes. This was Pandya's 5 T20I half-century. The star all-rounder now has 1803 runs in the shortest format of the game, in addition to taking 94 wickets. He now becomes the first Indian player to score 1500+ runs, take 50+ wickets and slam 5 fifties in T20Is.
Overall he is the fourth player in history to achieve this feat in T20Is after Shakib Al Hasan, Mohammad Nabi and Sikandar Raza.

Hardik Pandya Needs 6 Wickets To Achieve Major Feat

Hardik Pandya currently has 94 wickets in T20Is for India. If he takes 6 more wickets, he will have 100 wickets in this format. He will thus become the first Indian to achieve the unique double of scoring more than 1000 runs and taking more than 100 wickets in T20Is. He will become the second player in the world to achieve this feat after Shakib Al Hasan.

Pandya, Dube Fire India To 181

Batting first, India got off to a terrible start, as they lost three wickets in the second over itself. Rinku Singh stabilized the middle part of the innings with a solid 32-run knock. However, it was Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dube who slammed 52 runs each to bring India right back into this game. The duo put on a partnership of 87 runs as the Men in Blue scored 181/9 in the first innings.
