Karachi Kings won the toss and elected to field first against Peshawar Zalmi in the 11th match of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 at the National Stadium, Karachi.
The match marks Karachi Kings’ final appearance at their home ground for this season, with both teams aiming to secure vital points as the tournament approaches its mid-point.
Karachi Kings captain David Warner said his side is focused on reading conditions early and maintaining their strong fielding.
“We are trying to adapt to the conditions, probably rotate the strike more. It’s about adapting to the wicket straightaway whether it's bat or ball. Our fielding has been outstanding,” Warner said. “Bowling first, we want to restrict them under 150. Playing the same team.”
Peshawar Zalmi skipper Babar Azam also preferred to bowl first but remained optimistic. “We also wanted to bowl, but the toss is not in your hands. We will give our best,” he said.
“Confidence is always high after a win. The pitch looks better than yesterday, and I think 170 would be a good total. We’re going with the same team.”
