Two-time Olympic medal winner Neeraj Chopra tied the knot with Himani in an intimate ceremony. Neeraj shared the news on his social media handles. "Grateful for every blessing that brought us to this moment together. Bound by love, happily ever after," wrote Neeraj. As soon as he shared the news, his social media handles were flooded with congratulatory messages.
Who Is Himani Mor, Neeraj Chopra's Wife?
Himani is a tennis player with an educational background from Southeastern Louisiana University. She is a former volunteer assistant coach in tennis at Franklin Pierce University and a graduate assistant at Amherst College, managing women's tennis, including training, recruitment, budgets & scheduling. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Sports Management & Administration at McCormack Isenberg School of Management, USA.
Himani hails from Larsauli in Haryana. Her alma mater is the Little Angels School, Sonipat. Himani also studied in Delhi’s Miranda House where she pursued a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Physical Education before moving to the US to continue her education.
Neeraj Chopra's uncle Bhim told PTI that the marriage took place a couple of days ago in India, revealing that Neeraj and Himani left for Honeymoon.
“Yes, the marriage took place in India two days back. I can’t tell the place where it took place,” Bhim told from his village at Khandra near Panipat in Haryana.
“The girl is from Sonipat and she is studying in the US. They have left the country for honeymoon and I am not aware of the places where they are going. We wanted to keep it like that,” said Bhim, who stays with the Olympic double medallist at Khandra, when asked about the surprise development.
According to the All India Tennis Association (AITA) website, Himani’s career-best national ranking was 42 in singles and 27 in doubles in 2018. She started playing in 2018 only in AITA events.
Neeraj Chopra's Career
Neeraj made headlines after he won the 2016 U-20 World Athletics Championship. He continued to rule the field and won gold medals in Commonwealth Games and Asian Games in 2018. Neeraj became India's first athlete to win a gold in athletics with an 87.58 m throw in the Javelin event in the Tokyo Olympics 2021. Neeraj was expected to defend his gold at the Paris Olympics 2024, however, he came second to Arshad Nadeem and won a Silver for the country.
