West Indies stars Gudakesh Motie, Jomel Warrican, and Jayden Seales etched their name in the history books in the first Test match against Pakistan despite the visitors losing the series opener at the Multan Cricket Stadium by 127 runs. The bowling trio achieved a special feat with the bat.
After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, Pakistan put up a first-inning score of 230 on the board. However, West Indies' batting unit suffered a terrible collapse as a stunning display of spin bowling from Sajid Khan and Noman Ali saw them being bowled out for just 137 runs.

No batter from West Indies' top eight made more than 11 runs, with Kraigg Braithwaite and Kevin Sinclair (11 runs each) the only players to cross the double-digit mark. The last three batters of the visiting team (Gudakesh Motie, Jomel Warrican, and Jayden Seales) finished as the highest run-getters in the first innings with scores of 19, 31, and 22, respectively.
This marked the first instance in Test cricket history of a number nine, ten, and eleven batters being the highest run-getters of a team's innings in Test cricket. This also marked only the third instance of numbers 10 and 11 batters being the top scorers in an innings after Australia's Tom Garrett (51) and Edwin Evans (33) against England in 1885 at Sydney and England's Jack Leach (41) and Saqib Mahmood (49) against West Indies in 2022 at Grenada.
As far as the match is concerned, Pakistan were bowled out for 150 in the second innings with Warrican taking a seven-wicket haul. He produced the best bowling figures by a visiting spinner in Test cricket history in Pakistan. Needing 250 to win, West Indies were bowled out for 123 in the fourth innings.
The Multan Test between West Indies and Pakistan was a historic clash, as it is the shortest Test match in history on Pakistani soil. Only 1604 balls were bowled in the match across the four innings, which ended during the second session on the third day of play despite the majority of the first day seeing no action due to bad weather.
34 out of the 40 wickets in the match were taken by spinners, which is the most in history in a Test match in Pakistan.
