'Come To The Graveyard': Mohammad Rizwan Taunts Windies Batter As Sajid, Noman Run Riot On Multan Dust Bowl (Source: X)

Pakistan Cricket Is Over - those were the headlines when Pakistan suffered a series defeat to Bangladesh at home. The team was down and out, there was criticism all the way, and nothing seemed to be working for Pakistan. The defeat was followed by a defeat to England in the first Test and a 3-0 whitewash threat again loomed large. In a desperate attempt to save the series, Pakistan went India's way of producing rank turners at home. The move paid immediate dividends as Sajid Khan and Noman Ali bamboozled England on rank turners to win the series. The results meant that Pakistan found a dangerous formula to succeed in home conditions.
It was no surprise to see the hosts prepare a dust bowl in Multan for the first Test against West Indies. The ball gripped and turned and even the Pakistan batters struggled to score runs. The team was bowled out for a mere 230 in the first innings, but it already looked a massive score given how the ball was turning.
West Indies' nightmare came true as soon as they came out to bat as Sajid Khan and Noman Ali ran riot. The spinners shared nine wickets among them as West Indies were bowled out for 137 in the 26th over. Things could have been worse for West Indies but the last pair of Jayden Seales and Jomel Warren had some fun slogging, and fetched 46 runs for their team. A total of 19 wickets fell on Day 2 which is a record for most wickets to fall in a day in Pakistan.
Meanwhile, the conditions were tough and the Pakistan fielders left no stone unturned to further send chills down the spine of West Indies batters. When Kevin Sinclair came to bat after the fall of Tevin at a team score of 42, Mohammad Rizwan greeted him with a 'come to the graveyard' taunt. The video of the taunt went viral on social media.
Meanwhile, the series stands of no importance in terms of the WTC final as both West Indies and Pakistan finished in the bottom half of the table, with Australia and South Africa qualifying for the summit clash.
