Pak spinners soar in ICC rankings

Pakistan's spin trio of Noman Ali, Sajid Khan and Abrar Ahmed have soared in the latest ICC Test rankings following outstanding performances in the first Test against the West Indies in Multan.

Noman, who claimed an impressive six-wicket haul in the match, has made a remarkable return to the top 10 in the ICC Test bowlers' rankings.

He is now positioned at ninth with 761 rating points.

Sajid, who was named Player of the Match after taking nine wickets in the series opener, has jumped an impressive 18 places to secure the 23rd spot with 621 points.

Abrar Ahmed's match-winning performance, which included a key four-wicket spell, has seen him rise six places to 52nd with 406 rating points.

Despite the rise of the spin trio, other Pakistan bowlers have seen a dip in their rankings.

Aamer Jamal has slipped one place to 71st, while Mir Hamza and Salman Ali Agha sit at 91st and 92nd respectively.

Hasan Ali has dropped two places to 42nd, Naseem Shah falls to 36th and Mohammad Abbas is now ranked 25th.

In the ICC Test bowlers' rankings, India's Jasprit Bumrah tops the table, followed by Australia's Pat Cummins in second and South Africa's Kagiso Rabada in third.

On the batting front, Saud Shakeel has made a strong comeback to the top 10, moving up three places to eighth position with 753 rating points after his stellar 84-run knock in the recent Test.

Wicket keeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan also rose two places to 17th following his fine performance against the West Indies.

However, Babar Azam has seen a decline, dropping four spots to 16th. Salman Ali Agha also fell five places to 27th, while skipper Shan Masood improved his ranking, rising three places to 42nd.

Kamran Ghulam held his position at 92nd and Aamer Jamal and Saim Ayub are also ranked at 92nd.

In the ICC Test batters' rankings, England's Joe Root continues to hold the top spot, followed by Harry Brook in second and New Zealand's Kane Williamson in third.
