India skipper Rohit Sharma was seen facing Hardik Pandya in a net session as the star duo prepared for the upcoming Champions Trophy in Mumbai. Both of them are also expected to be named in the squad for the three-match ODI series against England and Pandya is also a part of the T20I team which will face the same opponent from January 22.

Rohit himself took to social media on Friday to share a video of him batting in the practice session and in the evening his IPL franchise Mumbai Indians shared a video of him and Pandya having a face-off in the practice session in the city.

In the clip that has already gone viral on the internet, Pandya can be seen bowling to Rohit, who played some good shots. Watch the video here:

Pandya, who last played a 50-over game for India on October 19, 2023, against Bangladesh in Pune, is expected to be picked in the Champions Trophy team on Saturday, January 18. He was part of India's team in the 2017 edition of the tournament as well and he top-scored in the final against Pakistan, which the Virat Kohli-led team lost by a whopping 180 runs.

Before participating in the ICC tournament, Pandya will play in the T20I series against England. The five-match T20I series between India and England is scheduled to begin on January 22 in Kolkata and the next four games will be played in Chennai, Rajkot, Pune, and Mumbai on January 25, 28, 31, and February 2.

Pandya last took the field for India in November during the four-match T20I series against South Africa. After the end of the away series, which India won 3-1, Pandya played in the Syed Mushtaq Ali and Vijay Hazare Trophy for Baroda and impressed with his all-round display.
