Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) boss Kavya Maran is known to be among the most passionate and devoted franchise owner in the Indian Premier League (IPL) went viral on social media after Harshal Patel dropped a catch of Ravindra Jadeja during their clash against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Friday (April 25) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

The incident occurred in the 7th over of the match after Pat Cummins won the toss and chose to bowl first. SRH made a dream start as they got three wickets in the powerplay despite a quick-fire start by Ayush Mhatre (30 of 19). Shaik Rasheed (0 of 1) and Sam Curran (9 of 10) failed to have an impact.

SRH though they got a fourth wicket in the first over after the powerplay. Zeeshan Ansari forced an error from Ravindra Jadeja, who came down the track on the last ball of first over but did not get a proper connection. Jadeja hit the ball in the hands of Harshal Patel, who was fielding at long-off.

However, the SRH pacer dropped the catch to give Jadeja a second life. The cameras were quick to point to Kavya, who was almost in celebration before realising that they had failed to take the catch. She was visibly upset, and her animated reaction became the talk of the town on the internet.

Jadeja had made eight runs at that point and ultimately failed to make the most of the second chance and was dismissed after making 21 runs in 17 balls after Kamindu Mendis bamboozled him. CSK put a total of 154 on the board with Dewald Brevis (42 of 25) top-scoring.

Despite the dropped catch, Harshal was the star of the show for SRH with a four-wicket haul. The two-time purple cap winner gave away 28 runs while taking the important wickets of Curran, Brevis, MS Dhoni, and Noor Ahmed.
