Rohit Sharma showed once again why he is one of the most captivating cricketers in India after pulling off a moment that had many calling it straight out of Hogwarts.

The event unfolded when Santner caught young Ayush Mhatre in the deep towards long-on. Santner came in and took the catch and then had to move a few steps back. It seemed like he was about to touch the ropes, but out of nowhere, Rohit had his arms forward from the dugout in an attempt to keep Santner inside the ropes.

It seemed like he had cast a spell and almost controlled his teammate Santner with his superpowers, which changed the game from the dugout during MI vs CSK in IPL 2025. "It seemed like Rohit Sharma's voice pierced through the noise, shouting out like a true field general. Captain or not, Rohit's vibe and energy are unmatched! Moments like these are why we love him," wrote one fan on social media while describing the moment.

Rohit Leads MI To Victory

Meanwhile, Rohit made a brilliant return to form, smashing an unbeaten 76 not out to guide MI to a 9-wicket win over CSK. Suryakumar Yadav (68 not out) supported him ably as the duo whisked away Chennai in a commanding performance.

Rohit capitalised on anything short from the pacers in the powerplay and swept with command against the CSK spinners to notch up his maiden fifty of the season, which came off 33 balls. He hit four fours and six hits over the fence.

Reflecting on his performance, the 38-year-old said, "Most satisfying and most important part was to stay till the end and finish the game for the team".

He was duly adjudged as the player of the match.
