Abhishek Sharma continued his purple patch and played a brilliant 40-run knock against the Mumbai Indians (MI). The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) opener hit 7 boundaries in his knock. He provided a decent start to SRH and added 59 runs for the first wicket with Travis Head, who scored 28 off 29 balls.

Abhishek created history en route to his 40-run knock and became the first Indian to score 500 runs in T20s in 2025. He has scored 511 runs in 12 innings this year. None of the other Indian batters has managed to breach the 400-run mark.

With 343 runs in 10 innings, Tilak Varma sits at the second spot. Sai Sudharsan has 329 runs in six innings and sits at the third spot.

Sunrisers Hyderabad put on a big total of 162/5 on the board. Aniket Verma gave a perfect finishing touch to the team's total and remained unbeaten on 18 off 8 balls. Heinrich Klaasen scored a crucial 37 off 28 balls. Pat Cummins finished SRH's innings with a six off the last ball of the final over bowled by Hardik Pandya.
