Shreyas Iyer has been named the ICC Men’s Player of the Month for March 2025 after playing a crucial role in India’s victorious ICC Champions Trophy campaign, overcoming competition from New Zealand’s Jacob Duffy and Rachin Ravindra.
India’s middle-order batter Shreyas Iyer earned the ICC Men’s Player of the Month award for March 2025, continuing the nation’s run of accolades after Shubman Gill secured the honour for February.
Iyer led all scorers with 243 runs across the tournament, helping India secure the Champions Trophy title. The 30-year-old produced steady contributions throughout the competition, including a decisive 79-run innings against New Zealand in a Group A match and key knocks in the semi-final and final.

In the semi-final, Iyer added 45 off 62 deliveries in India’s successful chase against Australia. He followed that with a composed 48 off 62 balls in the final against New Zealand, guiding India to another ICC title.
Across three Champions Trophy matches in March, Iyer averaged 57.33 with a strike rate of 77.47, underlining his ability to hold the innings together during crucial phases.
“This recognition is incredibly special,” Iyer said after receiving the award. “Lifting the ICC Champions Trophy was a moment I’ll cherish forever. I’m grateful to my teammates, coaches, and the fans whose support drives us every day.”
India’s back-to-back wins in the monthly ICC awards category highlight the team’s strong showing on the global stage.
