Virat Kohli fired India to the top spot in the 2025 Champions Trophy points table with a century against Pakistan. The right-handed batsman continued his purple patch against the Men in Green and remained unbeaten on 100 in the chase to the target of 242. With India just 2 runs away from the win, Virat slammed a boundary to complete his century.

The crowd erupted in joy as India registered a blockbuster win over Pakistan. Virat, who slammed his 51st ODI ton, received a standing ovation from captain, Rohit Sharma and head coach, Gautam Gambhir. It was a special knock from Virat as India needed his much-needed experience in the middle-order.

Virat joined Shubman Gill in the middle after Rohit Sharma was dismissed in the fifth over. The star batting duo added 69 runs for the second wicket. Gill scored a vital 46 off 52 balls.

Shreyas Iyer added a crucial 114 runs for the third wicket with Virat. Iyer departed for 56 off 67 balls. Virat Kohli continued to hold one end as India also lost Hardik Pandya's wicket. The former India captain completed his century with a boundary and propelled India to the top position.

With 51 centuries, Virat sits at the top spot in the list of batsmen with the most ODI tons. Sachin Tendulkar sits next with 49 centuries. India have all but qualified for the semi-final of the Champions Trophy while Pakistan are on the cusp of getting eliminated from the league stage.

Kuldeep Yadav was India's star performer with the ball and he scalped 3 wickets. Hardik Pandya scalped 2 crucial wickets. He got a big breakthrough for India and dismissed Babar Azam. He also got the prized wicket of Saud Shakeel, who top-scored for Pakistan with a 62-run knock. Mohammad Rizwan scored 46 off 77 balls.
