Virat Kohli created history during the 2025 Champions Trophy clash between India and Pakistan at the Dubai International Stadium as the Indian bowling unit put up a near-perfect performance with the ball and helped Virat Kohli set a massive all-time record on the field.

In world cricket, only Mahela Jayawardene (218) and Ricky Ponting (260) have more catches than Kohli in ODI history.
Across all formats, Kohli now has 333 catches, which is the joint most for India alongside Rahul Dravid. Although Dravid has 335 matches in international cricket, having also played for Asia XI and ICC XI in his career. Azharuddin (261) is third on the all-time list. Meanwhile, Sachin took 256 catches across all formats. Meanwhile, Indian captain Rohit Sharma has 96 catches in ODI cricket and 229 across all formats.
Apart from his 158 ODI catches, Kohli has taken 121 catches in Test cricket, which is the third most by an Indian, with Dravid (209) and Laxman (135) above him. Kohli is joint-second (alongside Hardik Pandya) on the all-time list in T20Is with 54 catches and is behind only Rohit Sharma (65).
Across all formats in world cricket, only Jayawardene, Ponting, Ross Taylor, Jacques Kallis, and Dravid have more catches than the Indian star.
