However, two days before the match, controversy has struck. The Men in Blue come into the game on the back of a win against Bangladesh by 6 wickets. It is an incident during this match that has angered the PCB as they have made a massive accusation against the International Cricket Council (ICC).
During the India vs Bangladesh match live broadcast, the Champions Trophy 2025 logo was displayed throughout on one side of he screen. However, surprisingly, the name of the host country which is Pakistan was missing for the entire duration of the match. This did not sit well with the PCB.
The apex cricketing body of Pakistan has now written an official letter of complaint to the ICC, and demanded an explanation as to why the host contry's name was not displayed even when it is contractually obligated to do so.
Omission Was Due To Technical Glitch: ICC
According to a Geo TV report, the ICC stated that the commission was due to a technical fault which would be rectified, and it was not possible to correct the logo during the match itself.
"The omission was due to a graphics-related technical issue, which will be rectified from tomorrow. It was not possible to change the logo during the match," an ICC official told the publication.
