Rohit Sharma, when he was on 13 overtook the landmark of 11,000 runs in ODIs. He thus became the 10th batter in history and the 4th batter from India to achieve the milestone. India thus have overtaken Sri Lanka to become the nation with the most batters to score more than 11,000 ODI runs.

Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Sourav Ganguly and Rohit Sharma are the Indian batters with 11,000 ODI runs. On the other hand Kumar Sangakkara, Mahela Jayawardene and Sanath Jayasuriya are the three Sri Lankan batters to have scored 11,000 ODI runs
