Mumbai Indians (MI) will resume their pursuit of a sixth Indian Premier League (IPL) with a blockbuster clash against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) as the league's two most successful teams will go head-to-head in the 'El Clasico' on the first Sunday of the 2025 season.
After not winning the title for the last four seasons in which they have reached the playoffs just once and finished last twice, the Hardik Pandya-led side will look to get back to competing for the top honour in the new cycle.
The five-time champions are in Group B alongside Gujarat Titans (GT), Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), and Delhi Capitals (DC). The Men in Blue and Gold will face these four teams and CSK twice while playing one match each against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Rajasthan Royals (RCB), and Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the league stage.
