The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is just days away. The showpiece event will kick off on February 19 with Pakistan hosting New Zealand in Karachi. Ahead of the tournament, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has planned a grand opening ceremony. The event will take place at the Diwan-e-Aam, Lahore Fort on February 16. The highlight of the event will be singer Atif Aslam who will sing the official anthem of the Champions Trophy. The ceremony will also feature a panel discussion with cricket legends, while top officials from PCB and ICC, along with other distinguished guests, will be in attendance.

ICC Champions Trophy Groups

Eight teams have been divided into two groups of four teams. India, Pakistan, New Zealand and Bangladesh are clubbed in Group A while Australia, England, South Arfrica and Afghanistan form Group B. Top two teams from each group will qualify for the semifinal. Pakistan will enter the tournament as the defending Champions.

Meanwhile, the teams have reached the venues for the showpiece event. Currently, teams from Pakistan, New Zealand, South Africa, and Afghanistan have arrived in Karachi, while Bangladesh and India have reached Dubai. India’s first match will be against Bangladesh on February 20 in Dubai.
