Indian captain Rohit Sharma will head to ICC Champions Trophy with great momentum. Rohit was struggling to score runs in Tests, but the return to ODIs helped him get his mojo back. The Indian captain scored a sublime hundred in the second ODI against England to get the monkey off his back and now looks all set to dictate terms in the ICC Champions Trophy. Rohit was the cornerstone of India's juggernaut in the ODI World Cup where they reached the final undefeated before losing to Australia. Rohit came out all guns blazing at the top and gave the team a fiery start. Rohit scored 597 runs in 11 matches at a strike rate of 125, including 31 sixes.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma can break a massive world record if he can emulate the six-hitting spree in the ICC Champions Trophy. Rohit Sharma, who has 338 sixes to his name in 260 innings, could become the first player in the world to score 350 sixes in less than 300 innings if he can score 12 sixes in the showpiece event. Only Shahid Afridi has scored more sixes than Rohit Sharma in ODIs - 351 in 369 innings. Rohit is already the leading six-hitter in international cricket with 631 sixes to his name in 527 innings.

Rohit Sharma is also nearing the 11000 run mark in ODI cricket. The Indian captain needs just 12 runs to achieve the landmark in ODI cricket. He will become the fourth Indian after Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, and Virat Kohli to score 11000 ODI runs for India. Meanwhile, Rohit could also join the elite list of players with 50 international century. Rohit so far has scored 49 hundreds and he needs just one century to join the elite club.
