Armaan Bhatia Rules The Roost, Aditya Ruhela At Close Second Among Indians In Latest Continental Rankings
The face of Indian pickleball, Armaan Bhatia, took the top spot in the latest continental rankings released by DUPR among India's men's singles players. With a DUPR rating of 5.935, Bhatia is above the rest although he has Aditya Ruhela, who recently won the 4th IPA Nationals men's singles title at Bennett University, is breathing right on Bhatia's neck in the second position, with a DUPR Rating of 5.874.
Sonu Kumar Vishwakarma, a 22-year-old from Jharia, Jharkhand is ranked third, with a DUPR rating of 5.616. Vanshik Kapadia, who is also the Asia No. 1 in doubles, is ranked fourth in men's singles, with a DUPR Rating of 5.399.
Rahul Belwal, who won the 35+ men's singles title at the 4th IPA Nationals, is ranked 12th with a DUPR Rating of 4.931. He is followed by the tournament's 19+ open men's singles runners-up Harsh Mehta at 13th, who has a DUPR Rating of 4.893.
Among Asia's men's singles players, Armaan is currently ranked third, in a list topped by Vietnam's Phuc Huynh. Ruhela is ranked fourth, while Vishwakarma is ranked seventh.
Armaan-Harsh top-ranked men's doubles players in India
Bhatia and Mehta, who recently won the men's doubles title at the 4th IPA Nationals, are ranked 1st and 2nd in India men's doubles rankings. The former has a DUPR Rating of 6.379, while Harsh has a rating of 6.105. Ruhela is ranked 10th with a DUPR Rating of 5.181.
Armaan and Harsh are also ranked second and third respectively among Asia's men's doubles players. Kapadia is ranked fifth with a DUPR Rating of 5.902 while Mayur Narayan Patil is ranked eighth with a DUPR Rating of 5.733.
Mihika Yadav sole Indian in the top 10 among Asia's women's singles
Among Asia's women's singles players, India's Mihika Yadav is currently ranked sixth, with a DUPR Rating of 5.148, in a list topped by Chinese Taipei's Chao Yi Wang. Priyanka Mehta is ranked 19th, with a DUPR Rating of 4.439.
Vrushali-Naimi in the top 5 among Asia's women's doubles players
Among Asia's women's doubles players, India's Vrushali Thakare is currently ranked fourth, with a DUPR Rating of 5.638. Naimi Mehta is ranked fifth with a rating of 5.608. Isha Lakhani is ranked eighth, with a DUPR Rating of 5.419.
