India picked up an emphatic win over England in the first T20I at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. India's bowlers were on fire on a flat track and bowled out England for a mere 132. Arshdeep Singh started the carnage and rattled the top order with the wickets of Phil Salt and Ben Duckett before Varun Chakravarthy delivered the 'Man of the Match' performance that saw him take three wickets for 23 runs and break the spine of England's batting. Arshdeep Singh created a massive record in the first T20I and became India's leading wicket-taker in the format, surpassing Yuzvendra Chahal, who took 96 wickets for the country
Arshdeep, who has 97 wickets to his name, can break another massive record in the second T20I, to be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Arshdeep needs just three wickets to become the fastest pacer to reach 100 wickets in the format. The record for fastest to 100 T20I wickets among pacers is held by Haris Rauf, who reached the milestone in 71 matches. Arshdeep has played 61 matches so he has 10 T20Is to go past Haris Rauf and take the pole position.
Overall, if Arshdeep manages to pick three wickets, he will become the third fastest among all bowlers. Rashid Khan is the fastest to 100 T20I wickets in 53 matches, followed by Sandeep Lamichhane, who took 100 wickets in 54 matches. Wanindu Hasaranga is currently at third place with 100 wickets in 63 games.

Fastest To 100 T20I Wickets

Bowler Matches
Rashid Khan 53
Sandeep Lamichhane 54
Wanindu Hasaranga 63
Haris Rauf 71
Ehsan Khan 71

India Unlikely To Tinker Winning Combination

It came as a big surprise when Mohammed Shami was not picked in the XI for the first T20I, however, Shami could also miss the second game. The wicket in Chennai would support the spinners and India might want to play the same combination. Shami is making a comeback from injury so India might not want to rush him to the XI, especially with Champions Trophy lined up in a few weeks.
