India are all set to return to white-ball cricket when they take on England in a five-match T20I series, with the first match beginning on January 22 (Wednesday) at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. One of the players who is set to make his India return after 6 months is Hardik Pandya. He is also one of the most crucial players in the India lineup and will begin his preparation for the Champions Trophy 2025 with this series.
The star all-rounder now has the chance to create history and become the first Indian to achieve a mega feat.
Hardik Pandya has scored 1700 runs in T20I cricket. He also has taken 89 wickets in the shortest format of the game for India. If he manages to take 11 more wickets, he will achieve the momentous feat of scalping 100 T20I wickets. If he achieves this feat in the series, then Pandya will become the first player from India to score more than 1500 runs and take 100 wickets in T20Is for the country.
Pandya will also become the second player ever to achieve this feat after Bangladesh legend Shakib Al Hasan. The spin bowling all-rounder scored 2551 runs and took 149 wickets in the shortest format of the game.

Arshdeep Singh Also Chasing 100 T20I Wickets

He needs just two more wickets to surpass Yuzvendra Chahal to become the Indian with the most wickets in the shortest format of the game.
Here are the Indians with the most wickets in T20Is:
Yuzvendra Chahal- 96
Arshdeep Singh- 95
Bhuvneshwar Kumar- 90
