Rinku Singh is one of the brightest stars in Indian cricket at the moment, making his pace in the T20I side almost permanent. The star left-handed batter has now reportedly some good news in his personal life as well. The star cricketer is now, according to several reports engaged to Priya Saroj. The couple might also marry in a few days' time according to a report in News24. However, neither Rinku nor Saroj has shared anything on their social media accounts or confirmed anything. However, a few days ago Saroj confirmed that she would be leaving her city for 10 days.
Who Is Priya Saroj?
Priya Saroj belongs to a political family and is herself now a successful politician. She is the daughter of senior Samajwadi Party leader Tufani Saroj, who is a three-time Member of Parliament (MP) from the Machhlishahr Lok Sabha Constituency in Uttar Pradesh. Saroj also followed her father's footsteps and is now a MP from the same constituency winning the seat in 2024. She defeated BJP's Bholanath by 35,850 votes to clinch the seat.
Priya Saroj was born in 1998 in Varanasi. She completed her graduation from Delhi University and followed it up with an LLB degree from Amity University, Noida. She also practiced as a lawyer in the Supreme Court before becoming one of the youngest Lok Sabha MPs at just 26 years old.
When Will Rinku Singh Be In Action Next?
Rinku Singh has been included in India's squad for the five-match T20I series against England that begins from January 22 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. He is a certainty to be included in the playing XI, due to his reputation he has earned as one of India's best finishers right now.
Rinku was also recently retained by he Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) ahead of the IPL 2025. He was their highest paid retention at Rs 13 crore.
