India are all set to begin their quest for the Champions Trophy 2025 from February 20, as they aim to win their second ICC trophy in less than a year. Rohit Sharma recently missed out on the chance to qualify for the WTC 2025 final, and hence he will be desperate to make amends and become the second captain after MS Dhoni to win multiple ICC white ball tournaments for India. India are yet to name their squad for the mega tournament, and it has now finally been revealed as to when it will be announced.

Rohit Sharma and chairman of selectors Ajit Agarkar will attend a press conference at the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai from 12.30 pm on January 18 (Saturday). According to a report by Sports Tak, this will be to declare the squads for the upcoming three-match ODI series against England and the Champions Trophy 2025.

India will play the three-match ODI series vs England, their final ODI games before the Champions Trophy 2025 on February 6, 9 and 12. They will then begin their Champions Trophy 2025 journey with a group stage match against Bangladesh on February 20. They will then play against Pakistan in a blockbuster clash on February 23, followed by their final group stage match against New Zealand on March 3.

India have already announced their squad for the T20I series vs England which begins from January 22. The biggest news coming in is that Mohammed Shami returns to the Team India squad for the first time since the 2023 ODI World Cup.
